Produced by Oldsmobile from 1968 through 1980, the Olds 350 cubic inch engine, also known as the "Rocket 350" was a favorite 350 engine of the GM line. Appearing in such models as the Oldsmobile Toronado, the Oldsmobile Cutlass and the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser, the Rocket 350 also was the engine of choice for the Cadillac Seville.
The 5.7 liter (350 c.i.) produced between 160 and 320 stock horsepower with a cast iron crankshaft in a Oldsmobile small block. Until 1974, the "Rocket 350" decal was proudly displayed on the air cleaner atop a Oldsmobile factory painted gold engine. After 1975, the "Rocket 350" decal disappeared and the engines were painted an Oldsmoble metallic blue.
